I am a young writer with a degree in literature and creative writing from Seattle University.
I am passionate about telling stories which explore complicated truths and discovering magic in worlds both real and imagined. Fantasy has always been my genre of choice. I had a big imagination as a kid, having grown up on The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Spiderwick Chronicles, and all things Disney. I strive to bring whimsy and joy into my work while maintaining the elements I find core to meaningful storytelling: truth-seeking, struggle, growth, and a world that listeners want to invest in.
I find fulfillment in completing and sharing creative projects, whether solo or as part of a team. One of my proudest professional moments was when I was recognized as a finalist in the 2018 California branch of the Congressional Art Competition, “An Artistic Discovery,” for my painting Abduction shown on the left. Recently, I completed a year-long honors program which sharpened my research skills to a professional level and taught me to manage large scale projects. In this program, I produced the first several chapters of a novel which I am still working on.
I am seeking entry-level full-time work, ideally utilizing my creative writing skills. I am interested in the fields of publishing, podcasting, blogging, game production, screenwriting, and I am open to more. I am eager to make meaningful connections with people in my local and greater communities and expand my skillset in the literary and entertainment fields.
